Daegis is pleased to announce that, effective October 15, 2007, Lela Laurent joined our team as Midwest Regional Manager based in Chicago, IL. Lela has accumulated over twenty years of litigation case management experience in the law firm, corporate and commercial environments. She has extensive experience developing case management strategies focusing on the utilization of cost-effective technology, workflow logistics and management of resources during the discovery lifecycle.
Lela has been a valuable resource within top-ranked firms in the Chicago area. She has managed support staff and a multitude of cases through the discovery process, developing sophisticated database tracking systems to manage document productions, witness preparation kits and key issues.
Lela has also served as an e-Discovery consultant for several top-tier service providers, organizing and directing educational presentations, e-Discovery seminars, and user training for attorneys, paralegals and corporate clients. She has created project management tools tracking delivery specifications, status reporting, review and workflow plans.
As a member of the Daegis team, Lela will establish and maintain client relationships with law firms and corporations by offering her vast artillery of e-Discovery experience, coupled with Daegis’ suite of services and technologies. She will evaluate project needs and work with clients to develop and implement workflow strategies and apply the appropriate technical solutions. Her understanding of case management will serve to compliment Daegis’ proactive Consultant and Project Management teams.
Lela is affiliated with several professional organizations including the Minnesota Association of Litigation Support Managers (MALSM). Additionally she was a past President and Board Member of the Chicago Association of Litigation Support Managers (CALSM) and past Chapter Co-Chair of the Legal Assistant Management Association (LAMA).
